Lansoprazole is a white to caramel white unscented crystalline powder which dissolves with deterioration at roughly 166°C. Lansoprazole is uninhibitedly dissolvable in dimethylformamide; solvent in methanol; sparingly dissolvable in ethanol; marginally dissolvable in ethyl acetic acid derivation, dichloromethane and acetonitrile; somewhat solvent in ether; and essentially insoluble in hexane and water.
Lansoprazole is stable when presented to light for up to two months. The rate of corruption of the compound in fluid arrangement increments with diminishing pH. The corruption half-existence of the medication substance in watery arrangement at 25°C is give or take 0.5 hour at pH 5.0 and roughly 18 hours at pH 7.0.
PREVACID is supplied in postponed discharge containers and in deferred discharge orally crumbling tablets for oral organization
